Skin allergies are not only itchy and annoying but also sources of concern because of their look. Most of the time, it’s difficult to understand what causes your allergic reaction or whether you have an allergic reaction or not.

Skin allergies most commonly emerge as a rash, eczema or a general skin eruption (itchy or not itchy).

Perfumes and Scents: A skin allergy may emerge in the event you get into contact with many products with perfume and scent additive such as laundry detergent, soap and cleaning supplies.
Plants: Many plants may cause more than one allergic reactions such as redness or itching along with nose problems. The most common plant causing allergic reactions on your skin is the poison ivy. Poison ivy is a widespread plant you can find in the forest or in your own garden. There’s an oil in the poison ivy which may cause allergic reactions in some people. Allergic reactions caused by poison ivy may look very severe because most of the time you’ll end up with an excessively itchy skin, rashes, papules and a red eruption. Poison ivy reaction is not contagious but irritating.

Nickel: A nickel allergy is generally easy to identify as it will be seen as a redness or a red area on your skin when you’e exposed to nickel. Nickel is usually used in earrings and your ear lobe may get red and itchy after you put on earrings.

Latex: If you wore rubber gloves before and you end up with redness on your hands you may have latex allergy. Latex is a natural byproduct of rubber trees and used in the production of many things such as dresses, gloves, condoms and belts. Your body may react to the protein in the latex and if it senses the protein as a harmful substance it may show an allergic reaction. If you have latex allergy you must inform medical personnel about your allergy.

Clothes: In general most of the people have no allergy against the material (wool, cotton etc.) but against the additive materials used in the manufacturing of the cloth. Formaldehyde resin is widely used to assist water-proof clothes and prevent clothing wrinkles.
